    Multiple conditional formula

    Hi,
I am looking for a conditional formula with multiple conditions. Basically I want the formula to look at the date and name of Column A & B and return the values from Columns R,S,T,W and X. I am not sure if I should use a Vlookup or a IF. Any help would be appreciated, I have been re-keying the information for the past year and it can take up to 8 hours.

    Thank you.

It is not clear where the formula should go. Can you explain your requirements a bit more clearly?

    Re: Multiple conditional formula

Sorry, it's been a while. In Column C "Truck" I need Column W "Location". In Column D "Job" I need Column X, "Subject" and Column O "Time Alloted" I need Column T "All Day".
    Thank you.

    Re: Multiple conditional formula

Are you just interested in matching by the date only or does time come into the decisiom?
If the former then the most popular method of handling this type of multiple conditions is to create a helper column that concatenates the conditional fields you're interested in

For instance in Q2 copied down enter

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Then in C2 copied down
    Formula: copy to clipboard

repeat the Vlookup for the other columns changing the offset column number 7.

There was a strange anomaly when I opened the workbook with my UK regional settings. the column S Dates are pukka date numbers but the Column A dates were still text. i.e. S was UK style format dd/mm/yyyy whereas A was mm/dd/yyyy. Hence until I changed column A to values I didn't seen any matches. I guess that probably won't be a problem for you since presumably your Regional setting will be in in US format.

    Re: Multiple conditional formula

It returning this is column Q, Bobby_43417, so the formula isn't working. I really need if Column A equals Column S and if Column B equals Column R, then return the value from Column T, W, & S.

    Re: Multiple conditional formula

The column Q value is the combination of Crew & Date

You said you wanted to return the values from R S T W & X
I gave you an example formula to put in Column C in the middle sheet which would return the Location Value from column W of that sheet

I expected you to use the formula and modify it to pick up the other columns and put it in other cells on row 2

If this is not what you want please explain clearly where you expect results to appear, what those results should be, i.e. specific values and where you obtained the results from.
