Question Easy integration of multiple IF statements

    Dear forum users

I'm currently working on some kind of energy management tool.
I've several columns containing day, hour, generated power, load power. The final goal is to determine how reliant a company is on the grid.
Therefore I have to check several if cases; if is the wind power alone sufficient, if not, then is solar alone sufficient, if not is the combination of both usable to feed the load. If one of these formulas gives a go, the battery's state of charge has to be checked and if not 100%, the difference generated>load can be stored in the battery, if it is full, the goes to the grid.
These are just a few options to be checked. Because of time issues, i'm not capable of learning some programming language.

What would be the easiest way to execute this in excel, any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Greetings, Matthias

Re: Easy integration of multiple IF statements

i would suggest you load a spreadsheet with some sample data and also some examples with the end result you want for some of the data and why

    i dont know what
the wind power alone sufficient, if not, then is solar alone sufficient,
would these be numbers ? and is there a target number
then a Nested IF may work

    BUT
These are just a few options to be checked.
We would need to know ALL the options , otherwise , when we complete this bit - if possible with excel , then you will want to change and ADD the other options

remember we may not know anything about the energy management systems , I certainly don't , just excel
so explanations are key to a solution that will work for you

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You'll probably need the SOLVER Add In for this but as Etaf says upload the workbook. The paperclip icon doesn't work so choose Go Advanced and look underneath the post for the Manage Attachments option.
