    Simple question around ranges?

    Hi Folks

    ME again!

I thought this one would be easy but not having much luck....

So in Column A i want to key in a figure which Column B will read and give it a one of the following 5 groups (Blue 1-10, Black 11-50, Red 51-100, Yellow 100-200, Green 200+)

For example in Column A if i key in number 17, Column B will return Black 11-50

Now is there an easy way if i key in 100 entries on column A, to create a table which will count how many there are in each catagory group?

    So i will get
    Blue 1-10 = 15,
    Black 11-50 = 22 ....
    and so forth..

    thanks :-)

    Nick

Attaching a sample workbook enables others to work on your problem:

To attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and click "manage attachments" to open the upload window.

Also, instead of giving a thread title that tells us nothing, just say what the question is, please.

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.
