Question Building dynamic range drop down comparison sheet

I am trying to build a workbook that will allow me to create a comparison worksheet with the source data being the daily closing price of a few stocks. From what I have read thus far I would be best served keeping all of the data on one worksheet and presenting it as desired in another.

    For example:Excel forum example.PNG

Lets say today is January 7th. Each day I will download and update the previous days closing price. So tomorrow on January 8th I will download the previous day prices of January 7th. The range on these columns will continually expand as each day passes. So I was thinking to keep the historical data in one worksheet.

On another worksheet, I am trying to select one or more of the data columns and have it bring in all of the data from the dynamic range. For example, I could select just GOOG and SPX in their own column each from a drop down list of selectable stocks, etc. This is where I am having a hard time. A drop down or check box, etc - I am not sure the best way to accomplish this.

Any suggestions or help is appreciate, thanks!

See if my attachment in Post #23 of this thread from a couple of days ago can give you some pointers:

    Hope this helps.

Having watched the video I think that the attached is what you want.
On sheet1 columns A:D are each a table.
The data in each table is referenced in a named range.
On sheet2 there is a list of stocks which is used by the yellow cells as data validation lists.
Rows 2:11 are populated using: =IFERROR(INDIRECT(C$1),"")
For future reference you usually get faster better answers if you upload a manually mocked up workbook showing you input data and expected output. Also please update your profile to include the version of Excel that you are using, it will help tailor answers to that particular version.
