    VLookup?

I want to search and get a total cost in J5 from H5"APPLE PIE SPICE" which would be H5* the price from MasterPricingSheet E2

    now

If you notice on The sheet APPLE PIE SPICE J6 should be $0.15 the formula is not
picking up the right row on the "MasterPricingSheet".

    Any thoughts help, TIA

Re: Cant get the formula right!!

Your thread title does not meet our forum requirements. It should tell us specifically what you are having problems with.

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

    Re: VLookup?

Sorry, but we are still waiting for a meaningful title. Try something like this instead: Formula to Look Up and Multiply Prices.

    Re: VLookup?

Well my post with the title VLOOKUP was answered, even without being to precise. So if you don't like my titles that are somewhat not on your wave length, then by all means delete my account there are other forum out there. Have a good day..

    Re: VLookup?

Please review the forum rules, to which you agreed on joining. There are not many rules and they are very simple. Rewarding negative rep to a moderator for being asked to change your thread title is not appropriate. If you wish to be a member here, then you will abide by the rules. Here's a link to them for your edification: https://www.excelforum.com/forum-rul...rum-rules.html

Please also review post #2 in this thread to understand the sort of details we expect in thread titles: generic cries for help and one-word titles that simply name a function are not suitable. Titles need to indicate what any member might expect to find if they shoose to read the thread and offer help: neither of the titles you gave were appropriate. In post #3 I have suggested an appropriate title: all you needed to do was copy that into your first post.
