Please help with the Search box formula

    Hi,

I want to make a search box on the attached worksheet on the blue cells. I am trying to use the formula from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUGjuMmZx3Q but it doesnt work.

I want the search box to search everything in column A and highlight the results.

I am getting the error "There is a problem with this formula. Not trying to type a formula?". I am using Office 2016 on Windows 10

    Thank You for Your help

    See the attached.

In column S is a list of all ИМЕНА with duplicates removed. That is the Data validation list for the drop down box in E1. In Data Validation choose List from the drop down and then enter this formula in Source:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Then this conditional formatting rule for column A.

Home > Conditional formatting > New Rule > Use a formula to determine which cells to format.

    This formula.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

In the Applies to text box this range.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Is there a way just to have a search box without making all this for every new name? The names of the clients that had and have a subscription are typed in column A. Is there an easier way to highlight the results when I want to see how many subscription does one client have. In other words - to skip the CTRL+F combination.

That is what my upload does.

Select a new ИМЕНА from the drop down in E1. The ИМЕНАs in column A that match E1 will highlight. There is no Ctrl + F step.

You can additionally filter ИМЕНА for that color revealing all the occurrences of that name only.

    Isn't that what you wanted?

Edit By-the-way. It is advisable to remove cell merging from A1:C1. Merged cells cause havoc. The headers in A1:C1 are on a different row than the headers in D2:M2. Put them on the same row and filtering will be less awkward.
