How to keep hyperlinks from formula when copying and pasting as values

    I am using Excel 2016

I have a set of data in column A, In column B (cell B3) I have this formula for a hyperlink: =HYPERLINK("ebms:inventry?"&A3, A3).
I want to delete column A now, but since it is being referenced in the formula in column B, I need to copy and paste column B as values.
Doing so will remove my hyperlinks.
Is there any way to paste as values but keep the hyperlink intact? This has frustrated me for a long time and just googling it I'm not finding anyone else who has this problem.

    Either:

    1) convert the cell references to values and keep the HYPERLINK function
    2) add a hyperlink to the sheet with the values found in the HYPERLINK function

Either of these could be done using macros: for the first

Not sure which approach is best - I haven't seen "ebms:inventry?" as a legal base address for a hyperlink and the type is important for the second approach.
