How to get External link data to stay

    Hello Forum experts,

I created a "workbook 1" that extracts data from "Workbook 2" using the following formula in "Workbook 1": =countif(WK_7,B2)

Information gets populated beautifully, however, if I don't have "Workbook 2" open, my data goes away.

    Question:
How do I get to keep the data once the formula gets populated with the least amount of effort.

I have fond the solution but don't know how to place it in solve status. In order to get data to stay you "break" the link with the data from the DATA tab > link edit.
