    Calculate Visa Renewal Dates

    Hi Friends
    I have a list of employees with their joining dates.
    I am trying to calculate their visa renewal dates.
    Visa is renewed after every 2 years.
    In attached files, Column is showing Joining date and in Column J, I am trying to calculate Visa renewal dates.
    First visa is issued on the date of joining and then renewed every two years.

    Kindly help me to calculate the date when next renewal is due.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Calculate Visa Renewal Dates

    Other than changing the formula in J to this...
    =EDATE(E2,24)
    I dont really see what the problem is?

    Re: Calculate Visa Renewal Dates

    @FDibbins
    Thanks for your reply.
    By using =EDATE(E2,24), we can get only expiry of first 2 years, but I want to know when is the next renewal due.
    For Example, joining date of 2nd Employee is 01-Sep-2006, so it will be renewed every two year, if I use =EDATE(E2,24) formula, it will give me 01-Sep-2008 which is first renewal whereas I want to know when is next renewal due after today, that should be 01-Sep-2020.

    Re: Calculate Visa Renewal Dates

    Is this what you want?

    =EDATE(E2,IF(ISODD(DATEDIF(E2,TODAY(),"Y")),DATEDIF(E2,TODAY(),"Y")+1,DATEDIF(E2,TODAY(),"Y")+2)*12)

    Re: Calculate Visa Renewal Dates

    OK, brain is sleepy lol.

    This is the closest I have got to my approach...
    =EDATE(E2,INT((YEAR(TODAY())-YEAR(E2)+1)/2)*24)
    However, it the Join date is this year, but before TODAY, it is 2 years short.
