    Excel does not recognizes the correct formula pattern and picking wrong sales figures

    Hi,

    I have an Excel file, which has two sheets, Sales and Cost. Currently I manually link the sales no for the relevant week.
    I am looking for a formula, which I copy every week to next week column and it should pick the correct week sales figures from the sales sheet.

    Please find the attached file from google drive for your reference.

    I have tried Offset function with rows and columns but unable to solve this issue.

    put this formula in the top cell drag down. Note change the 7 in this case to move across a column for other weeks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

    In Week 1 have link the sales figure manually for reference point. But in Week 2 and across all 13 weeks, I want to put a a formula at once, so Whenever i update my sales sheet, it should pick the correct sales figure from sales sheet and and put in cost sheet in the relevant week.

    I hope this make sense.

    Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook here?

    Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
