    It wont work for me, I get an error when I copy your formula. It says a formula must start with "=" etc...
    What cells did you mark before entering the formula?

    Have you looked at the workbook I uploaded? Does the formula look the same? Or does it have a semicolon instead of the comma?

    Re: Problem with coloring weekdays as red in automated calendar

    Although your profile says that you are in London, the screen shot indicates that you are using a different language than English (is it Dutch ?). As well as using semicolons instead of commas in the formula, you will need to translate the function name WEEKDAY into your language.

    As Trevor had attached a file for you, if you open this it will have done the translation for you.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

    Re: Problem with coloring weekdays as red in automated calendar

    Ali,

    Location in the profile is a bit misleading in this case, where the physical location may well be London, but a different language is being used on the PC than what you would expect for that location. I've come across a few of these over the years.

    Re: Problem with coloring weekdays as red in automated calendar

    @kvsrinivasamurthy: no worries

    @Pete: suspected that might be the case but I don't know what the function translates as ... the easy option was that it might just have been the semicolon issue.

    @brage: glad we were able to help.
