Week in Year by number to Month by Week number?

Good Afternoon,

I am looking for a little help as always!!

looking to add a formula to convert the number of weeks into its corresponding month.
I have started building a weekly orders report that is using the entered date of an order as the date of reference, then using =WEEKNUM(entry date) to generate the week number.. My boss has now come in with a request to identify the month that week belongs to. is this possible? or am i over thinking this and should simply type in the month?

The report its self is built so that once its set up the data is automatically updated for the user. so should become something i only ever touch when there is a problem..

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Why not just use the month the reference date belongs to?

or = entry date (whatever cell that's in) and format the cell to custom mmm or mmmm

As ChemistB has identified, there are different approaches. Depends what, if anything, you want/need to do with the information. =MONTH will return the numeric value of the month, for example, 3 for March. If you just refer to the date, you have another copy of the date but formatted to show the month number or month name. If you just want to look at it, ChemistB may have the solution you want.

Or, you could use =TEXT(A6,"mmmm"), =TEXT(A6,"mmm"), =TEXT(A6,"mm"), =TEXT(A6,"m"), depending on how much of the month name/number you want to see.
