Writing formula using Names from Name Manager

    Hello friends!
In an effort to learn to make calculations within Name Manager I'm held up trying to write a simple formula making calculations from individual cells. I hope the attached sample spreadsheet demonstrates what I'm trying to do and the failure I'm incurring.
Please let me know if you can point out what I'm doing wrong and how to do it correctly.
I'm wanting to use the NAMES in the formula and not the specific cell address. The code within the RED border is what I'm trying to write and the result below is pointing out what's wrong.
    Thanks!

The space character between two ranges acts as an intersect operator in Excel.
Therefore the below should do what you need:

    =Quarter2 Southeast-Quarter3 Northeast
