    Countif for date ranges

    Hi,

    Need some help

Currently trying to return a count from several different criteria. The worksheet is basically a tracker of parts, when they were ordered and when they arrived.

    So for example

    Date 1 = Inspection
    Date 2 = Order date
    Date 3 = Promise date

I will be tracking multiple orders so I'm after a formula that will count the orders if date 2 was raised before date 1 and arrived on or before date 3.

Been trying countifs but I keep coming back with 0 value

Countifs could work, so can sumproduct, it would be helpful to post a sample workbook with enough examples to show what you are dealing with AND expected results. Go Advanced then manage attachments to upload a workbook.

    Re: Countif for date ranges

    Hi,

I've uploaded a sample of the worksheet.

The list tab is the worksheet to draw the data from and the Overview tab is what I'm trying to achieve.

So the first goal is number of materials demanded before PIR which arrived on or before the drop dead date.

So the date for PIR is in D2

    The demand date is H5:H64

    Drop Dead Date is I5:I64

SO it needs to count H5:H64 if <D2 and <=I5:I64

If there is a solution that doesn't return 0 I'd be very grateful!
