IFS Search = this, then Y otherwise N

    Hello,

I am looking for either this existing formula or a better one for a =IFS(SEARCH

I want the IF to return Y when the condition is true, otherwise, leave the cell blank. Capture.JPG

    Try this...
Enter formula in B2 and copy down
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    v A B
    1 Catalogue
    2 Food generic recipe Y
3 place of the rice Y
    4 only the strong Y
    5 wheathouse place

The better way would be to create a lookup table:

    In B2
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

    v A B C
    1 Catalogue Result Lookup values
2 Food generic recipe Y generic
3 place of the rice Y rice
4 only the strong Y strong
    5 wheathouse place

@ AlKey , the formula above worked like a charm. And I can expand on it down the road with more conditions vs the IFS that I was thinking about using. Thanks
