    Sales per product per salesperson

Hi everybody. I'm relatively new to formulas that seem this complex. I am usually just going to try new things until I figure it out. I am a business manager and I'm trying to build a spreadsheet that I can show all of my salespeople what they are doing per product so we can figure out what each one of them need to work on each month. I am building off a spreadsheet that I have fine tuned over the last 3 years but this is a whole new ball game. Previously, this sheet just broke down the total amount of everything and how many sales each person had each month, basically a simple formula that just searched Column P to see how many times each sales persons name is listed that they didn't see. It was just for me to be able to send money owed to each vendor each month. The grayed out box is the only addition, which I feel like is an easier fix than I'm making it out to be.

On a separate sheet, with salespeople in A (A2:A4) and products across the top (B1:G1), this formula in B2 copied across and down
    Formula: copy to clipboard

I'm trying to play with it but I'm not sure that's going to work. I need it to automatically change the figures if I were to change the salespersons name. So if I were to change customer Bob Morgan from Fred to Mark, it would then give Mark 4 sales and Fred 2. The new totals would then calculate, possibly in the new page you created and then I would divide that total by total sales. I can figure out that last part, that's fairly simple I think. I would just add a column in between each of the total sales and divide that by the cell that has that person's total sales # in it. I didn't think about the making it a new page, that's a great idea(and possibly a must?) to keep them all from seeing info I don't really need them seeing.

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for.

I added a table on the second sheet for Total Sales, # of sales, and Avg per sale.

It is true that you would need to manually add the names to sheet2 A2:A9 (the second table takes the names from the first table so would not need to be updated).

That actually looks like it will work. I was looking at it wrong. Sorry, definitely still a novice. I was trying to figure out how you got a total and just missed what you did. I am sure I will have more questions but I got slammed at work and didn't get to finish it. I am off tomorrow but will look more when I get in on Friday. I appreciate your help. Hopefully that is all I needed.
