i want to add specific amounts within a range

i have a wide range of amounts. want to sum of amount between 50000 to 85000.
help will be highly appreciated.

You will need to use the SUMPRODUCT function if you only have Excel 2007, as per your profile. Has this changed?

Please provide a sample workbook.

OK - so please update your forum profile to reflect this. So, either of these can be used:

=SUMPRODUCT(($H$5:$H$8>=50000)*($H$5:$H$8<=85000),$H$5:$H$8)

or:

=SUMIFS($H$5:$H$8,$H$5:$H$8,">="&50000,$H$5:$H$8,"<="&85000)

Change the sum range to suit.
