Finding the Greatest Date in a Table for a Specific Lot

Can I get somebody to look at the attached table?

In the Table located between A11 thru B14, I need to populate the B column with the greatest date looking at the table above between A1 and B8 based on the Lot field in both tables. Trying to use the Max & If functions but not having any luck. Wondering why my formula isn't working.

    Thanks in advance

    That's an array formula:

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.

Thanks Ben. I just tried CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER while cell B12 was selected. For some reason, it won't work. Is there a setting within the spreadsheet that I may need to activate?

Just figured it out. You need to select the formula in the formula bar the press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array.

    Thanks for your time.
