    Pulling Start and Finish Times

    Hello

    A while back, people were very helpful in helping retrieve start and finish times from a rota system i have built (See Here).

    I need to do something similar again and the formulas I used then don't work because I am not doing things the same way. What I'm after is it to retrieve the start and finish time based on the filled bar by each name. It currently auto fills depending on a drop down list (thanks Pete_UK), but in some cases there will be times where the shift required needs to be manually entered. This is done by entering a '1' which then makes the bar go black, later on down the line it will use this information in other ways.
    In the sheet are two tabs. the first is a blank one, and the second 'What I would like' has the two columns highlighted with what I would like to be able to see. I assume it can be done using 'Small' and 'Large' but I'm not sure how to do that based on two separate lines.

    If anyone can help that would be great.

    Please attach a sample workbook. Please don't expect members to refer back to earlier threads - make sure they have all the information they need here, please.

    My fault. I even referenced the workbook I meant to attach yet didn't hit the Upload button.

    Attached now.

    Apart from the columns added to the right, I see no difference between the before and after.

    Re: Pulling Start and Finish Times

    The second tab example was to show what I would like to see. So, once someone selects the shift from the Column C drop down, it will auto populate the start time and finish time in Columns AQ and AR. However I need it to generate the data in column in AQ and AR from the auto filled information between Column D and AP.

    Re: Pulling Start and Finish Times

    I thought I'd try and simplify it as I'm not sure what I mean the more I read the earlier comments.

    I have added a new attachment.

    Row 1 has times
    Row 2, 3 & 4 just has '1's.

    What I am after is in K2 to say '10:00' as this is the first instance in Row 1 where the is a value of '1' in Row 2. This would also make L2 say '16:00' as it is the last value, and I need Formulae for the K (first instance) and L (last instance) columns.

    To give a further example:
    K3 = '08:00'
    L3 = '12:00'
    K4 = '10:00'
    L4 = '17:00'

    I feel it can be done possible with Match and Index maybe? I've found something using ISBLANK, but that only handles things in the same line where this is using data over 2 lines.
