Referencing another sheet cell by the criteria of another cell.

Hi

I have some test scripts which are comprised of a summary page with links to the separate tabs and an outcome field.

The scripts themselves are step by step instructions in table format with a data validation list in column D "Incomplete, Pass, Fail or unable to test.

If the script fails we put the details of the failure in column F.

What I'm wanting is; If column D contains "Fail" display the text in column F on the summary page.

Quite complicated I know and I'm not even sure if it can be done.

Could anyone help please?

Thanks for changing the title.

It would also help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

Don't try to use the Paperclip icon, as it doesn't work on this forum.
