    Append Data using Power Query

I have tables on 3 separate sheets on a workbook

I am trying to combine these tables on a separate sheet

I went to Data > New Query > From Other Sources > Blank query and the typed excel.currentworkbook() and nothing happens

I have attached the screenprint as well as my excelworkbook

it would be appreciated if someone could assist me in resolving this

I opened your file and uploaded from the file Data-->From Table/Range and then Close and Load to Connection only. I did this for each of the three so that they are all loaded. I then ran an append as a new query.

Re: Append Data using Power Query

    Hi Alan

Thanks for the help. I follow the steps for the 3 sheets. I tried to run the append but the data is not appended. Possibly I am missing a step. Do a first create a sheet called for eg Combine and then append using new query ?

Re: Append Data using Power Query

    For the final append query:

    1. Data ribbon > Get data > Combine queries > Append
    2. Select Three or more tables and then add all three connection queries to the box on the right > OK.
    3. Close & Load.

    Hi Ali

    thanks for your input

I went to data > New query, Combine queries > Append and get a screen which I have attached.

I am not sure what to do here in order to combine all three tables (using office 2016)

Re: Append Data using Power Query

If you don't have the three table option, then append two of the tables first, then append the third to your append query.
