    return dates based on subscription

    hello,
    I'm no excel expert and am looking for what I believe to be a simple function for someone who knows excel.

    I'm currently trying to find a way to return the date of subscribers based on the date the subscription fee was collected.

    In the attached excel file, I have two sheets:

    _one with the general accounting data with expenses and entries (which include subscription fees as well as other expenses and entries),
    _one with the subscription data that condenses the subscriber data and lets me know if they subscribed and when.

    At the moment the function to return the date based on whether or not they have paid their subscription returns random results.
    this is the function that doesn't seem to do the job:
    =IF(E2>0,'recette-dépense 2019'!A:A)

    I think I maybe need some kind of nested if function that does the following:
    _matches the name of the person in "subscription" sheet with the name in "recette-dépense 2019" sheet
    _checks that his name is associated with an 'adhérent' catégorie in "recette-dépense 2019" sheet (column 2 in "recette-dépense 2019")
    _and if all that if true, then return the date that corresponds to that row

    I was wondering if someone could help me find a solution to this request.

    with many thanks in advance

    Hi and welcome
    to ensure that you get faster answers, it is best to create a new thread when you have a new question ( with eventual links to any relevant posts - as long as you don't have 10 posts, ask a mod to add the link if needed)
    I created a new thread for you https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ml#post5110893
    Good luck with your query
