    Hi.
I´m trying to solve this problem long time, but it´s seems impossible.
    Screen Shot 2019-04-29 at 11.23.37.png

I want to see the values (average) of Vector magnitude for each individual at each hour.
I´ve tried every kind of formula.......
The problem is we have 500 subjects..
    If someone could help..
    Thanks.

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

A simple scalar average/arithmetic mean could be computed using the AVERAGEIFS() function (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...8-f7c5c3001690 ). A more complex vector average (taking direction into account) might also use the AVERAAGEIFS() function or maybe SUMIFS() function (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...6-611cebce642b ) with COUNTIFS() (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...c-aa8c2a866842 ). Some might depend entirely on exactly how you need to compute this vector average, but I would expect those kinds of functions to be part of the solution.

Will a pivot table work? I set up a pivot table with name as the row label, hour as the column label, and average of the vector value as the data field and calculated those values quickly and easily. https://www.excel-easy.com/data-****...ot-tables.html
