Inventory Tracker Help

Hello, I am trying to create a very basic inventory tracking system. I am not trying to make it to huge, just a small tool for on the go counts. I have attached two photos of the style I am trying to make work.

Tab 1 (Overview): is just the tab showing all the parts and the quantity on hand.
Tab 2 (Data Input): is just the tab where I want to create the running log of adding or subtracting the parts. This tab I want to be able to continue to add lines as I add or subtract inventory of a certain part each day and have it update the running quantity on tab 1.

I have tried a few different formulas to try and make it work but I am having some issues. Normally I could play with these things and try multiple formulas for a few more hours and get my end result, but I am running tight on time so I am hoping someone on the forums can assist me and tell me which formula to use to get the desired results. Any assistance to tell me what formula to use would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Inventory Tracker Help

Hi, welcome to the forum

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Not sure how I looked over something so simple. But that works perfectly! Thank you for your help.
