Help with chemical inventory and how to get a value copied x times.

    Hello,

    This is my first question.

I'm trying to streamline my chemical ordering.
I can only accept deliveries on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays.
I track daily chemical inventory in a spreadsheet.
I maintain a 30 day running average usage as well.
Based on available inventory and average usage I can calculate how many days of chemical are left in inventory.
I want to have the latest 30 day usage average value displayed for the number of days of chemical left.
I can then project forward the tank levels for number of days of chemical left and pick the best day (TUES, Weds or Thur.) to receive chemical and how much to order...

I hope that all makes sense and look forward to answering questions and/or getting advice. Thanks.

    Eric

Suppose your data in A3:C17 and row 2 has labels (date, Product_id, Qtty)

Suppose too A1 has today's date and the Product_Id you want average is in E3
Use this formula in F3 to get the average
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Jose'

Thanks for your response. I think I need to ask my question differently.

    Each row is a day.
Column A has total gallons Available.
Column B has total gallons used that day.
Column C is the 30 day average of column B
Column D is the number of days until no gallons. (Column A divided by Column C)

Here is what I want to do:
In Column E - I want to display the last value calculated in column C (30 day Avg.)
That last column C value is to be displayed in X rows down the column
X being the value calculated in column D.
Each time new data is entered then the latest number gets displayed etc.

    Hi

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
