    Creating a list based on criteria from another column

    Attached is a sample file. I have a large list of names. Beside each name is one of 5 letters (P, O, W, E, and R). I know how to setup a dropdown to select the letter I want (or I could simply type in the letter in another field).

    I would like it to auto populate a list of names that only match the selected letter. I would like it to omit blanks so that all names appear together... any help on a formula to get started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Which version of Excel are you using? Please update your user profile to show this. PowerQuery might be your best option if you have it.
