How to plot whole numbers, based on % likelihood, when dealing with small amount of units

    Hi All

Got a formula problem I cant seem to solve, no matter how much I rack my brain (attached an example workbook)

    Scenario
I've got an outdoor food market open 24 hours, 3 days a week. Majority of visitors arrive at night time around 6pm onwards. Column G shows % of arrivals by time of entry.

On average they stay about 2 - 3 hours and spend $50-60, I've estimated their spend over time in Column J.

    Problem
Now lets say I only had 10 visitors, I want to plot the time they arrive onto Column M. BUT obviously you cant have a fraction of a person. How can I accurately plot 10 people as per example on this??

Alright All good everybody, figured out a handy work around (Spreadsheet attached)

    Solution
    1. first I ranked the probability (ascending order, no duplicates)
    2. I added new table, had a manual rank column with 1 - 48 hardcoded in
    3. Into this new table, I indexed the Time of arrival & the probability
    4. I've done a cumulative sum of the probability
    5. I've used that cumulative sum of probability & the ROUNDDOWN formula to calculate visitor numbers
