I have a workbook with data sheets ( named datewise) and a comparison sheet.
I want to be able to insert names of two datasheets in the comparison page and get the difference.

In C2, =INDIRECT(""&$H$1&"!"&C2)-INDIRECT(""&$I$1&"!"&C2). You should then be able to copy and paste to other cells

Please try at C2
=INDIRECT("'"&$I$1&"'!RC",)-INDIRECT("'"&$H$1&"'!RC",)
RC with no number reference to same cell location.
