Using a drop down list as a go to function

I have a price list with various headings in a column (C in this case). In between the headings are the various part numbers that the headings refer to. So I want to create a drop down list with all the headings in and be able to click on the required heading I want. The cursor will then go to that particular heading and if possible, that heading cell will be at the top of the screen with the part numbers below. I am sorry if this is a repeat question but I could not find a suitable answer in the forum. Many thanks in advance.

This requires a macro. Please attach a file showing your actual headings and part numbers, and where you want the dropdown list.

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

    Hello 6 string jazzer.
I hope you find the attached sheet. I have had to remove some confidential columns. I would really like the drop down list in the fixed scroll area at the top.

The way you have your data formatted there is no reliable rule that could tell the code which rows are the headings. You need to think about reformatting. For example, you could insert another column and reserve that column just for the headings.

OK I can do that no problem and iot would go on the left of the part number. Do you need me to reformat and re-post it?
