    COUNTIFS and expirations dates

I'm creating a database to show expiration dates of certificates required at work. I need a column that shows if the document is missing (a blank) or expired and then another column showing certificates that WILL expire in 60 days. I've got the formula for the missing/expired certificates working fine but the column for expiring in 60 days is showing data for those expired AND expiring.
The formula i'm using currently is =COUNTIFS(DATA!$AU$2:$AU$2087,"<="&TODAY()+60,DATA!$G$2:$G$2087,"1")
and I've tried playing around with it, googling anything i can think of and it's still counting incorrectly. It doesn't count the blanks but it's showing data for all expired or expiring certificates.
I tried =COUNTIFS(DATA!$AU$2:$AU$2087,"="&TODAY()+60,DATA!$G$2:$G$2087,"1") and it shows as 0 ( this is incorrect) as well as trying about any other combo I can think of. Any insight? Thanks in advance.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.
