Using if function to match cell names in different column

    Capture.JPG

    Hello all,

The third column shows 5 digit codes, and the fourth column shows the corresponding number.
In the first column you see these same 5 digit numbers but they are in this row a code for a certain product. I need excel to fill the third column with the same corresponding numbers as in column 4.

    Can anyone help me out?

I would assume that something like a VLOOKUP would work, something like =VLOOKUP(A1,$C$1:$D$50,2,false) might work, assumes that the first value is in A1 and the values you want to lookup are in C1 with their corresponding values in D1, adjust the ranges accordingly.
