Conditional formatting based on old C-column values.

How do I write code if I have sellersí names in column A, and I want corresponding cell value in column B to format grey if I at some previous point in time have marked that name in column A with an X in column C.

So, the same name appears more than once but I only want to mark a name once, and then have the corresponding values for that name in column B greyed out every time I enter that name again Ė without having to mark it with an X every time.

Iíve googled this in many, many different ways, but I canít formulate the question so that google understands.

    Welcome to the forum.

A sample workbook would help, but you could use a formula CF rule with INDEX MATCH.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

I forgot to mention that I always insert new rows at the top, so the first entry is the one at the bottom.

    Hereís a new picture.

Please attach the workbook, not an image of it. Instructions in post #6.
