AutoFill with drop-down list with one word to 3 cells

I have a file with a drop-down list with 3 items. First item is an empty cell, then is M (as morning) and the last is word freetime (as holiday, vacation). I used the VLOOKUP function, in an empty cell, and M is fine, but I need... If I choose the freetime from drop-down list then I will have the word freetime in 3 cells. VLOOKUP (other) function doesnt work, so I need VBA or Macro. Can you help me how can I do this, please? Thank you.

Are you saying that if you select the DD that contains Freetime, you want that cell to now cover the other 2 DD's? If so, that would not be possible with regular DD's or any other formula.

there is nothing magical about a drop down (Data Validation). It is exactly the same as if you had typed the entry in manually, the only differences being that a DD can save you some typing, help avoid typos and help restrict entry to only a specified "list". Other than that, there is basically no difference. You would refer to it in formulas etc the exact same way as if you were referencing a manually entered cell
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
