Exclamation Booking on date and time in calendar

    Hi everyone,

i need some help solving a small issue.

I have attached a sheet where i have made some calendars where i would like excel to auto update the calendar based on the values with date and time. it has to be both on time and date, I don't know how to mix them together.

i would be grateful if there are someone who could be helpful on this matter

Your attachment is completely devoid of data of any kind - nothing there.

Re: Booking on date and time in calendar

You could concatenate them as per attached workbook column 'E'
if you are doing time calculations you will need to format 'dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm'
look at the formatting behind each column this enables time in excess of 24 hours to be worked with.

    Hi Torachan,

thank you, that makes sense. I will try and see if i can make it work when it's concatenated

Do you think that i have to setup the calendar differently in order to make a fomula put data into the calendar?

Hi, I have had a second look this morning and am still confused what you are trying to achieve.
The formula do not help me understand as some are referencing cells that have no data or ever likely to.
perhaps put some 'dummy' values in place to enable us to understand your thought process and anticipated outcomes.

Re: Booking on date and time in calendar

    Hi Torachan,

Let me try and explain it again. I have updated the attachment.

The data marked with red are the data i want in the calendar. In the original sheet there are much more data, so because of that i want to implement some kind of formula that can take the data, and put it into the calendar on the right location. so the calendar is marked with a color, based on the dates marked with red.

I hope that it's more understandable now

Re: Booking on date and time in calendar

It might make it easier to help if you could manually put your expected results on the calendar so that we know what our formulas/code are supposed to accomplish. Especially be sure to show us how you want the calendar marked for the overlapped time between 8/1/19 7:00 AM (arrival time 3) and 8/1/19 1:00 PM (departure time 2).
