Estimated Quote value to be Zeroed where we have Net Sales figure in adjacent column

    Hi guys,

I have an estimated quote figure and a net sales figure on the attached spreadsheet.

I want to SUM values in the Estimated Quote column but we need to ignore those that have a corresponding net sales value. So in essence we need to show where we have not been paid and only have a quote figure.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance

Firstly, what is the purpose of this?

    =IF(J2,J2,K2)

Secondly, please manually fill in the expected results in that final column. Is this an incremental total or what?

    Is this what you want?

    =SUMIF(J$2:J2,0,L$2:L2)

Not sure what you mean, but maybe:

    =SUMIF(J:J,0,K:K)

    Hi AliGW and Glenn,

I have attached a screenshot of what it should look like to original post so you have a better idea.

AliGW the =IF(J2,J2,K2) pulls over the net sales figure firstly but where we do not have a net sales figure it then pulls over the estimated figure in its place but that column is on, it is the issue in the new column to the right I am trying to resolve. I am looking for each cell in the new column to be populated with the correct value.

Glenn the total your solution brings back matches what I would expect.

    Thanks

Re: Estimated Quote value to be Zeroed where we have Net Sales figure in adjacent column

    This then:

    =IF(J2=0,K2,"")

I would suggest you spend a bit of time reading up on basic formulae using functions such as IF, VLOOKUP, SUMIF(S) and COUNTIF(S). Not that we don't want to help you.,it's just that you'd accelerate your learning by so doing.

As Sam noted, you need headings on row 28 and the corresponding table rows for that value to be brought through.
