    Re: LOTO Bingo

    Welcome to the forum.

Will you please attach a small sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment (it hasn't worked for years, and despite our repeatedly asking the technical team who own the forum to fix it, they can't be bothered to do so), so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

    Re: LOTO Bingo

Where did you find one "on here"? Am I supposed to know what you are referring to or why it's not working for you?

I just asked for a manual mock-up of what you are looking for.

Where in the workbook have you mocked up the results you want to see? The issue with duplicate numbers has already been resolved with a conditional formatting rule.

    You are not helping.

Please fill in column L MANUALLY to show the results you want.

    Re: LOTO Bingo

OK - how did you manually calculate for the first cell? Where does that count come from, please?

    Re: LOTO Bingo

That doesn't answer my question. What does 5 represent? How have you calculated it?

Talk me through what you did to work it out manually.

    Re: LOTO Bingo

I got the 5 from looking at the numbers what name 1 has chosen in B3 to I3, by looking at the numbers what has been drawn showing in columns S to X but I want it to not count the duplicates it the numbers that has been chosen by a person to be counted more than once if that's possible.

    Re: LOTO Bingo

Try pasting the following formula into cell L3:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Note that the formula will return "DQ" for Name 18 as the entry is not legal as the number 17 is used twice.
Note that some of the values yielded are different from those that are manually placed however checking a few of the ones that have discrepancies, the formula is correct in those cases.
