Football Score Predictor - Similar to Super 6 but with 10 fixtures a week

    Hi everyone,

I made my own similar version of Super 6 with my colleagues at work and am trying to create a spreadsheet. I have 14 players this season (including myself), 37 weeks each consisting of 10 fixtures each. 5 points for correct score, and 2 points for correct result.

I want the spreadsheet to be able to automatically work the points out when I type the results in, and I would like to be able to see a weekly league table and an overall league table (as I have weekly prizes and an overall season prize).

Any chance someone could help me with this please? I would be so grateful!

I can send me current (terrible manual) spreadsheet over as an example of what I've done so far if needed.

    Thanks, Zak

I found the formula I required on a different thread which works perfectly!

If anyone could maybe still help with the setting up an automatic league table, that would be amazing thank you.

I used to be able to do this but haven't used excel properly like this for around 3 years now

Will you please attach a small sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment (it hasn't worked for years, and despite our repeatedly asking the technical team who own the forum to fix it, they can't be bothered to do so), so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Also, does anyone know how, if I leave the actual results box blank (fixtures haven't been played yet), how I can make the points for each person '0' for that gameweek. I know it's something to do with '=BLANK' or =IF'BLANK make '0' but can't remember how exactly. I need to add this on to the current formula. Apologies for sounding stupid.
Currently it's making anyone that has predicted a score draw, automatically have 2 points, and any 0-0 draws are 5 points, which obviously affects the league table.

    Many thanks again

    Please see attached. Thank you.

Sheet1 is the one I've been working on and with examples. Week 1 in this sheet is complete, and week 2 I've inserted some 'predicitons' and left the actual results blank as the fixtures are yet to be played.

    Hi Zak,

Did you ever get an excel sheet together, I am running a Euro predictor with super6 scoring and have about 40-50 entries so could really do with an excel sheet for this.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Blair

In H2 then copy to all range

    =IF(AND(ISBLANK($D2),ISBLANK($E2)),"",IF(OR((D2>E2)-(F2>G2),(D2<E2)-(F2<G2)),0,IF(AND(D2=F2,E2=G2),5,2)))
    Pl note
Array formula should be confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter keys together.
If answere is satisfactory press * to add reputation.
