Hyperlink not required

Hi Folks
This is a quick post.

When I input say:

[email protected] in the cell its reverts to a hyperlink which I dont want. How do I prevent this and I just want to show it as text ONLY?

I think I found a better way. See below:

On the Excel Ribbon, click the File tab, then click Options.
Click the Proofing category, and click the AutoCorrect Options button.
On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, remove the check mark from Internet and network paths with hyperlinks.
Click OK, twice, to close the dialog boxes.
