calculating hours and minutes for a timesheet

I might be missing something obvious here, this seems like a relatively simple task but I am not getting the right calculations.
How do I calculate Column E to just total the hours and minutes worked (from column C and D) in this attached timesheet?
    Thanks for your help

    Do you mean...?
    =E1*24*H1

Edit: Oh and I'd recommend using [h]:mm format on E1 instead of h:mm. [h] allows display of hours greater than 23.

Re: calculating hours and minutes for a timesheet

In Excel time is stored as decimal value. And 1 hour =1/24.
So to convert it back to hour value you multiply by 24.
