Filtered Tables - Average and Sum

I have a TABLE containing data, I filter this TABLE with SLICERS. I wish to calculate the average of one of the column in the TABLE. But I only wish to calculate the average of the FILTERED Data, whatever I do I seem to keep returning the AVERAGE Of the entire TABLE including the data that is filtered out.. in other words.. filtering does not effect the AVERAGE calculation (the range seems to be constant).. I though this was the purpose of putting the Data in a TABLE

How is this thread different from your other thread, with the same title and content?

Please do not duplicate threads - see Rule 05 in the Forum Rules menu at the top of the screen.

If you want an average that responds to filtered data, take a look at the SUBTOTAL function in XL Help.

    Hope this helps.

    Glad to help.

If that takes care of your original question, please take a moment to select Thread Tools from the menu above and to the right of your first post in this thread, and mark the thread as SOLVED.

Also, since you are relatively new to the forum, you might like to know that you can directly thank those who have helped you by clicking on the small "star" icon located in the lower left corner of a post that you have found to be helpful (not just in this thread - for any post that has helped you). This also adds to the reputation of the poster (the small green bars in the poster's profile).

Note that only Moderators and Admins can delete threads - Pepe has put a block on your other thread.

    Pete
