    COUNTIF With a wildcard?

Is there any way to do a countif or similar formula with a wildcard ending?
I am looking for a way to count calls per phone hour which will be how many calls an agent should be able to take in 1 hour. I am trying to base it on campaign. Column B is the campaign, Column D is the number of calls, and column E is the handle time per call. I have pasted generic information below:
    Column A Column B Column C Column D Column E
    Agent Campaign A Inbound 1 00:09:11

Can anyone offer advice on a formula that would find and count all the calls for campaign A? Since each agent will have a different number of calls I have been trying to find a formula that has a variable end.

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

To upload a file click the Go Advanced button at the foot of your post, look underneath the post area for the Manage Attachments section and take it from there.

    Re: COUNTIF With a wildcard?

Hello E.M.Anon and Welcome to Excel Forum.
Not sure that I understand the part about a wildcard, however looking at the file attached to post #3 I feel that I understand what you are trying to do. Here is my suggestion:
    1. Convert the range A1:F50 into a table,
    2. Select cell I2 and paste the following formula into the formula bar: =SUMIFS(Table1[[Handle Time in Seconds]:[Handle Time in Seconds]],Table1[[CAMPAIGN ]:[CAMPAIGN ]],H1)
    3. Copy the formula into the other cells where the number of seconds is being summed.
Let us know if you have any questions.
