    Exclamation IF help

    Hello guys,

I have a list of securities which refreshes everytime.

So I want to calculate the share price return in column J. In column J you can see for example the calculation for Arreal Bank and Arreal Bank CFD in row 51 and row 52, which should not be. It should just show the calculation of Arreal in row 51 with 5%.

Then in row 58-61 I have the main equity and the CFD and some Options, so in column J it should take only the main equity in account.

And then there is also the case, that the CFD is alone, then it should show the calculation.

Does anybody have a solution for that? I think with the IF function, but don't know how to include or exclude when cases above show up.

    Don't understand your request.
Can you show some expected results [calculate manually] and explain the logic?

    Re: IF help

    Hi,

    for example like this>

    1.JPG

The red ones should not be calculated, but if the row is like this>

    2.JPG

then it should be calculated as there is no value in the above row.

    Re: IF help

    HTML Code:
This was in your initial request.
Then in the last message you are saying that Row 52 should not be calculated. That one only has CFD so why shouldn't it be calculated?

can you simply list the rules when and why something should be calculated?

    Re: IF help

"And then there is also the case, that the CFD is alone, then it should show the calculation." Sorry, I meant here that for example under the issuer Commerzbank AG (row 75, blue) there is the position Commerzbank AG and Commerzbank AG CFD, where Commerzbank AG has no values but Commerzbank CFD does have values, so there must be a calculation.

    Rules are>

Don't calculate the CFD, if there is already a value for that equity (row 51), like in row 51 and 52.
Don't calculate the CFD and Options, if there is already a value for that equity (row 59), like in row 58-61.
Calculate the CFD if there (row 77), if the equity (row 76) has no value.

The blue lines are the issuer, followed by the equity, CFD, Option, etc.

    Thank you.
