I need to return a value (thinking vlookup here), then if the value is not found, I have a series of nested ifs. How do I combine into one formula?

Wow - that was easy enough! Now, what formula can be combined with that formula to return either the result of that formula or the best data option/score from a series of similar formulas? I’m assigning a score of A thru D based on three measures (ifs), need to assign only one final score (the best of the three), but replace that with the score from an exception table (vlookup) if present.
If the VLOOKUP doesn't error, that's what you get. If it does, error, you get your nested if formula.

Sorry, I may have misunderstood your question. Maybe use numeric values rather than alpha and then you could use MAX.
