Exclamation How to prevent conditionally formatted cell from "moving"?

How to prevent that, when I insert a new row, that particular cell with conditional formatting moving downwards?

How to make sure that, whenever I insert a new row, the conditionally formatted cell stays where it is?

Reason being that I usually copy a certain piece of information from other source and paste it over excel, so with conditional formatting, i can make sure wrong piece of information is being highlighted in RED, correct one in Green. But I need to insert rows in order to make sure the wrong piece of information moves to the right row, but in this case, the cell with conditional formatting will move as well.

    Please help!

Use INDIRECT() instead of regular cell refs...
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks for the quick response! I'm actually using highlight cell >>"text that contains" kind of conditional formatting. How and where I should add in the "indirect()" formula?
