LOOKUP formula not returning proper value.

I've gone around in circles trying to figure this one out, but I must admit defeat.

I have this simple "LOOKUP" formula in cells D20 & E20 on the "SUMMARY" sheet of the attached Excel file that I have used successfully in other spots of the same spreadsheet:

The problem is that it returns "0" instead of the last non-blank entry, which in the D20 case should be "601544.2".

The only thing I can think of that might be affecting the formula is the destination cells contain references to other sheets in the workbook.

I'm at the end of my Excel rope, so any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

I just figured it out. I'm such a dope. The formula was in fact returning the proper value, because my formulas in the referenced cells on the other sheets were returning the value of "0" instead of a blank cell. DOH!!

Since they seem to be readings of a total amount used I would use the MAX function

    Formula: copy to clipboard

this should give you also the latest entry, and should be accurate as long as the totals on the pump readings are not reset to 0 over time.. (which they do not seem to do)

Thanks Roel! Even better solution. How astute of you.

Will use your alternate formula, thanks a bunch!
