Summing & Visualising Month on Month

I have a sheet of project data as follows (more than 100+ rows)

Site | Start Date | End Date

I'd like to visualise the number of Projects currently inflight, when selected from a current date, provide a count and then visualise.

The logic I am trying to achieve would be.

Select Month (Assume October)
Count Total Number of Inflight projects at each site (assuming count from start date to end date after October)
Plot these month on month going forward until the project ends.
So for example, assume I have a project that is running March '19 to March '20 and I select count from October '19 it will provide a count of that project in october, then Nov, Jan, Feb, March ect.
And then if I chose say count from November, it would do the same, but from November.

A user story would be
As Project Analyst, I need to be able to see the accumulative total of inflight projects, month on month, so that I can understand the number of project demand on a site

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
