Forecasting the next number in a list?

Please explain the logic?

My car contract allows 12,000 miles per year and I'm checking if I'm estimated to hit it :P

Try this:

You legend.

No worries. I just hunted through the FORECAST functions and checked how to use them, then it was an easy matter of applying this one. Simples!
