Sum of various non-blank cells

Good day. I'm trying to find the formula for cell F. Cells B:E are either blank or can have one of 25 different names. If B:E are blank, then F=5. For each cell with any name, add 1 to F. Names will only be entered starting with B. In other words, B will never be blank if there is any text in C, D or E. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, my formatting failed. The numbers 5 to 9 should all be under F.
