    Date does not sort

Date is in european format so it does not sort properly. Please support how to sort, for reference the data has been extracted from a query.

    Re: Date does not sort

Try using Data>Text to columns... to convert the dates into 'real' dates.
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

    Re: Date does not sort

Check that it's actually stored as datatime value (decimal). I suspect that you have it stored as text. Hence the sorting issue.

Date formatting has no relevance in sorting, as sort is done on underlying value (smallest to largest or in reverse).

Use text to column or formula to convert it into datetime value, rather than text.

If you need further help, I'd recommend uploading sample workbook that mirror your actual workbook.
Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Just before posting, scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    Re: Date does not sort

Since the data is extracted by formulas, it doesnt seem to do anything ?

=VLOOKUP($A11,'Raw pipeline data'!$A:$ZZ,10,0) (example of formula)

Then use formula or alter the source range using text to column. But as I quoted.
