SUMIF function for 2 different formulas referencing the same cell.

    Hi Forum!

Not quite sure how to explain this but a cell has 1i and also 1wi in it.
I was hoping to utilise some sort of SUMIF function with "*=1i*" and "*1wi*" and use the same formula only changing this part of the formula.
Please find attached a mockup of what i'm trying to achieve.

    Kind Regards,

    Julian

    Try this:

    =SUMIF($B:$B, "*1i*", $D:$D)

Amazing! Thank you Ali as per usual!
How come you have to negate the "=" to solve it?

    Thanks,
    Julian

Because of the syntax of the SUMIF function and because anything inside inverted commas is seen as text - your cells do not contain an equals sign.

If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.
